Almost Europe
Last weekend was Dhillon's birthday. Months were spent talking about the event. It became quite the joke to see how long it would take him to say something about his birthday each time I saw him... and I see him every other day. Laini came over from the island and wore a fabulous dress that Ness bought from a fill a bag up for $5 sale. Needless to say everyone was quite jealous of the amazing piece. I wish I had taken a full lenght shot of it, but the top will have to do.
I am going to Europe in 3 days! - I need some advice/suggestions
I can't wait to leave. I wish I lived in Europe. Goal in life is to one day live there. I don't care where. All of it is pretty great. This will be my 4th trip over there, but the first with my family (parents, brother, and grandmother). It will definately be a different experience than what I am used to.
I need suggestions on things to do/places to go. I will be spending one week in London. This is where I will probably have to the most free time. I've been there a few times, but no one in my family has, so I will probably back out of some of the more touristy things aka Tower of London etc. I know there is so much cool stuff to do there, I just don't know where to start.
We are then going to spend a week in Paris and Bruges. Again both places I've been, so I'll hopefully be able to sneak away a bit.
And in the final week and a half we are going to Bath, Bristol, York, Stratford Upon Avon and hopefully Liverpool. I haven't been to any of these cities, so any reccomendations would be much appreciated.

Random
Reasons why this picture is interesting (to me)...
1) It was taken on the same street that I grew up on.
2) My dad's office is on the other side of the parking lot.
3) My cousin used to be the manager of one of the buildings in the shot.
4) I go to the same restaurant frequently.
5) I have some good friends who work there.
Just thought it was funny that Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner were papped in my neighborhood. I didn't think they were very famous, but they must be a lot bigger than I thought if the paparazzi follows them all the way out to the suburbs.
You can see what once was (possibly still is) the largest Canadian flag flying in the background.

Everybody's talking about...
I thought Mary-Kate looked stunning. I love her dress, it's modern yet traditional. The lace is so cute and her hair and make-up look great. A big improvement over last year. The gold dress was acceptable, but it washed her out.
Ashley improved over last year as well. She looks a lot more put together. I don't hate either dress, but I don't love them either. This year's white gown is really pretty, but too big for her. She looks like she's drowning in it. But she gets extra points for it being her own collection.
Kate Bosworth always looks stunning. I prefer her 2008 look much better. Actually I'm totally in love with the dress she wore last year. All those sequins and colour!!! I will take colour over black any day.
Leighton took a risk and she rocked it. I love her outfit. I can't say the same for Blake's.
I think Rachel Bilson looks so cute and adorable, but appropriate for the Costume Gala, I think not. She looks like she's going out to just any premiere. But her dress from last year was fabulous. And she rocked the bangs.
I don't know what it is about boys and chunky glasses, but I just swoon whenever I see one. I've always been into the Clark Kent type. I'm not normally a big JT fan, but I am loving the new look.

Pretending To Like Hockey
For awhile, "we" were actually winning 2-0.
This is Tina's sad face, as our beloved team (did you get the sarcasm there?) started to lose the game. They ended up losing 6-3.
I attempted to wear Canuck colours... unfortunately the colours are blue and green, not blue and red. I am a bad Canadian.

Vansterdam
Am I upset? A little bit. I feel really bad for the people who paid crazy amounts of money to be there last night. It was disrespectful. Britney performed 3 songs and then there was a little video montage and some cirque dancers and then nothing. Five minutes later some set pieces moved, but then still nothing. After 10 minutes a voice came over the PA system explaining that there was too much smoke and the show would not begin again until all the smoke had cleared. After 30 minutes, the show finally restarted and continued as normal.
I do not for one second believe that smoke was the reason the show stopped. I am offended that that was the excuse that was used. Just because we live in Vancouver doesn't mean we are all potheads. It wasn't a pothead crowd either. Why didn't the ushers tell people to stop? Why didn't they tell us to stop right at the beginning of the blackout? The whole thing was ridiculous!
